Mac M series
VirtualBox hypervisor is not available on Mac M series.
macOS and Linux
QEMU uses Hypervisor on macOS and kvm on Linux, which are more compatible and provide better performances than VirtualBox. For this reason, it is now the default hypervisor. If you used VirtualBox on Linux or macOS in the post, we strongly recommend switching to QEMU hypervisor if possible.
