Unlike Genymotion Desktop and Genymotion SaaS, there are no physical device templates with Genymotion Device image for Cloud providers.
However, our market place product page offers several Android versions:
- Android 5.1 (Lollipop)
- Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
- Android 7.0 (Nougat)
- Android 8.0 (Oreo)
- Android 8.1 (Oreo)
- Android 9.0 (Pie)
- Android 10
- Android 11 (AWS only)
These images are Android virtual machines which run directly on the cloud provider instances, using x86_64 or arm64 (only for AWS and Oracle Could Infrastructure) hardware.
The default parameters are similar to an Amazon Kindle Fire 1st Gen, but you can customize these parameters to make the emulator mimic any other real device:
- When creating the instance, choose an instance type (AWS,GCP, Alibaba, MS Azure) or change the instance shape (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) with the number of CPU and RAM quantity values that match your target device specifications
- Change the screen size and DPI to match those of your target device. See Changing resolution
- You can also change properties (Device, Product Name, Manufacturer, etc.). See Changing product properties
Basically, if you multiply Android version x RAM x number of processors x Screen resolution x DPI, you get over 3000 combinations possible to mimic any Android real phones and tablets.
We are legally not allowed to use manufacturer ROMs. This means that you won't have access to any system customization or applications that manufacturers (Samsung, Google, Huawei, etc.) might have added in their proprietary Android ROM.
