Running a local virtual device for a long period in Genymotion Desktop causes memory leaks which renders Genymotion extremely slow and unstable. This is a known limitation with Genymotion Desktop and no fixes could be implemented so far.
Running local virtual devices 24/7 with Genymotion Desktop is not recommended. Therefore, the use of local virtual devices is not suitable for automated, scaled tests or any other use case which requires to run multiple virtual devices for more than 12 hours.
However, we have developed Genymotion SaaS especially for this purpose, and it is now possible to run and control Genymotion SaaS virtual devices in the Cloud from Genymotion Desktop.
