I get the error "Unable to start the virtual device" after a Windows update

Some major Windows updates, especially with Windows 11, tend to break VirtualBox setup and make Genymotion Desktop no longer usable.

To fix this, the easiest solution is to re-install VirtualBox:

1. Download VirtualBox installer for the recommended version (see VirtualBox recommended versions).
2. Re-Install VirtualBox.
3. Launch Genymotion Desktop. Do not launch a device or you will get an error!
4. Reboot your PC.
5. Launch Genymotion and start a device.

In some rare Windows 11 configuration, this may not be enough to fix the error. If this is your case, you can try upgrading VirtualBox to 7.0.24:

1. Download VirtualBox 7.0.24 from this link.
2. Run the installer and upgrade VirtualBox to 7.0.24.
3. Launch Genymotion Desktop. Do not launch a device yet, or you will get an error!
4. Reboot your PC.
5. Launch Genymotion and start a device.
