Genymotion Desktop 3.1.1 is now compatible with VirtualBox 6.1 on Windows.
This error can be caused by multiple issues:
-
If you are using Windows 10, this may be caused by Hyper-V which interferes with VirtualBox. Please make sure Hyper-V is disabled when using Genymotion Desktop. See Genymotion Desktop and Hyper-V (Windows 8/8.1/10) for instructions.
-
If this doesn't apply to you, there may be an issue with VirtualBox Host-Only interfaces. To fix this, please follow these instructions:
- Open Windows Settings > Network & Internet > Change adapter options
- Right-click on VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter
- Select Disable
- Right-click on the interface again and select Enable
-
If the above doesn't work for you, please try the following:
- Open Windows Settings > Network & Internet > Change adapter options
- Right-click on VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter
- Click on Properties and then Configure
- Click on the Driver tab
- Click on Update Driver
- Select Browse my computer for drivers. Now choose Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
- Select VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter from the list and click on Next.
- Click Close to finish the update
- If you are using a VPN, please see Genymotion Desktop and VPN
If none of the above worked, try to remove VirtualBox completely and re-install it.
